The Extra Virgin Olive Oil Laudemio Frescobaldi is the excellence of Italian extra virgin olive oil. In the Middle Ages, the part of the harvest reserved for the lord owner of the lands was indicated with the name of Laudemio. He was offered the best part of the harvest called “Laudemio”. Since then Laudemio has been synonymous with value and quality. Already in that distant medieval era the Frescobaldi family produced olive oil in Tuscany. The Frescobaldi olive groves are located in Tuscany, near Florence, at an altitude that varies between 200 and 500 meters with a microclimate that allows the production of olives with unique nutritional and organoleptic properties. Harvesting is always done before the olives ripen between October and the end of November. The pressing takes place as soon as possible, always within 24 hours of harvesting in the Frescobaldi-owned oil mill. The extra virgin olive oil is then tasted and evaluated by a commission of experts: only the one considered to be of the highest quality is selected as Laudemio Frescobaldi.
